Welcome to Gamma NV — our Copenhagen bar in the heart of Nordvest, at Hejrevej 6B.
We opened Gamma NV to create a place where we could bring the beers we make in Herlev closer to the people of Copenhagen. It’s a little different from the brewery: here, we’re not surrounded by fermenters and brewing equipment, but by friends, neighbours, great beer, good food and plenty of reasons to stay for another round.
We’ve built the bar around what we love most: fresh beer, relaxed drinking and a lively atmosphere where everyone is welcome.
The beers
25 taps and plenty to explore
At the heart of Gamma NV is our bar, with 25 taps pouring a constantly changing selection.
You’ll find plenty of Gamma beer from our brewery in Herlev — from crisp lagers and easy-drinking pale ales to the hop-forward IPAs and double IPAs we’re perhaps best known for. We also like to keep things interesting with special releases, one-offs and beers that change with the seasons.
And beer isn't the only thing on tap. We also serve wine, cider and cocktails, along with a good selection of alcohol-free drinks, so there’s something for everyone at the table.
If you’re not sure what to order, ask us. We’re happy to talk about beer, recommend something based on what you like, or pour you something completely different.
Location
A bar in Nordvest
We’re located in Copenhagen Nordvest, in the neighbourhood sometimes known as the Bird Quarter — where the streets are named after birds.
Inside, we’ve embraced the building’s industrial character: concrete, a big bar and plenty of space to sit together. We’ve softened it with warm wooden details and made room for long communal tables outside, because a cold beer in the Copenhagen sun deserves its own kind of seating.
Whether you’re dropping in for one after work, meeting friends for dinner, watching the taps change throughout the evening or settling in for the night, we’ve got room for you.
Food
Come hungry
We’re also home to Ray’s Chicken, serving crispy, buttermilk-brined fried chicken, burgers, fries and other comfort-food favourites right inside Gamma NV.
That means you can pair your beer with proper food without leaving the bar — whether you’re after a quick bite or planning a full evening with us.
Ray’s Chicken currently serves:
- Monday–Thursday: 16:00–21:00
- Friday: 16:00–22:00
- Saturday: 12:00–22:00
- Sunday: 12:00–21:00
Events
More than just a bar
We like having a bit going on.
Throughout the year, we host and take part in events that bring the beer community together — from tap takeovers and beer releases to quizzes, bingo, karaoke and other social nights. Our event programme changes regularly, so keep an eye on our social channels for what's coming up. Community events and regular gatherings have become an important part of what makes Gamma NV feel like a local bar rather than simply somewhere to buy a beer.
We also have space for groups and private gatherings. If you’re organising a birthday, office party, beer club meetup or just getting a large group of friends together, get in touch and we’ll help you figure out the best setup.

Take Gamma home
We have a little bottleshop inside the bar where you can pick up fresh Gamma releases and other beers to take home. It’s an easy way to turn “just one beer” into “I'll have a few of those for the fridge.”
